An Empowering Experience

At first I was concerned about having to give a one minute speech on what had I learned that was most important to me because it seemed that all I had learned was important to me; However having us actually get in front of the class and speak was an empowering experience. Please continue to incorporate it in your classes. The techniques for resolving conflicts were important for me. It could be less awkward in using the techniques if you incorporated role playing. It is like actually experiencing the situation without the stress.

 Thank you for the laughter and the tears. Peeling the layers of protection from the injured child was hard and worthwhile. I give myself credit because I did not quit – even when I did nothing more than be physically in class – mentally and emotionally I was in another dimension. I have found your many handouts invaluable. I am still reviewing them. My daughter-in-law is using some of the techniques I learned to deal with her problem younger child, a boss who seems to be a male chauvinist, and a co-worker who is placing roadblocks to her training for new responsibilities.
