Affiliate: Dr. Jeffrey Kopelson                        Family Physician

Dr. Kopelson is a physician who has specialized in family practice for nearly 25 years. Over the past 12 years, the focus of his medical practice has changed considerably to include an increasingly greater percentage of "complementary" or "alternative" medical techniques (referred to by some as "Integrative" or "Functional" medicine). His interest in nutrition and optimal health was what originally propelled him in this direction. Later, serious personal health issues responded amazingly well to some sophisticated nutritional techniques and he realized that this was the direction to go with his patients as well. He currently uses the best of the traditional and the most innovative and most well-thought-out of complementary and integrative techniques in his practice.

As time has moved on, it has become apparent that the need for these new treatments is only increasing. The profusion of un-well people and dis-eased patients is staggering, and the effectiveness of traditional techniques is simply not keeping up. The complex and elusive acute and chronic health problems that confront us more frequently seem to respond much more favorably to the nutritional and environmentally based programs that Dr. Kopelson is using. More importantly, he always tries to get to the root of a problem rather than just mask its symptoms with medication. Perhaps most important, he enjoys taking the time to listen carefully to his patients.
