Turning Point
Luanne,
These classes have been a turning point for me, at this late stage of my life. I had been content with the life I thought I had chosen for a long time while I raised my children. Then as they left for college and pursuing their own futures I realized I was left without too much to occupy my time and interests. I found out also that the man I had been married to for all those years had been a wonderful, secure financial business success, but we had very little in common once the children were grown. It took a very serious illness and hospitalization (TB) to help me realize the world would go on without me and that physical illness was followed by an equally serious emotional illness, a major depression which was treated with anti-depressants and psychotherapy.
...The program itself, I found quite challenging and indeed impossible at times and then your classes gave me more insights and courage to set my own goals and go for them. I had a setback--dropped out of the program for and had a second episode of depression, but again with the help of medication and the support of true friends I took the plunge again. This time I have completed the third semester and I feel very confident I will succeed. You have openned a lot of thought-provoking doors for me and helped me realize I am the master of my own destiny. You humor and openness have been a gift. It is a pleasure to be in your company.
Thanks.
